Water Retention
Provides excellent water retention in cement- and gypsum-based systems, supporting proper hydration and reducing rapid water loss to the substrate.
Construction Grade HEMC is a non-ionic cellulose ether developed for cement- and gypsum-based construction materials. It is designed for dry-mix mortar manufacturers and construction chemical formulators, providing excellent water retention, thickening, rheology control, and workability. HEMC helps improve open time, sag resistance, adhesion performance, and application consistency, while maintaining reliable water-retention performance under elevated-temperature conditions. It is suitable for tile adhesives, wall putty and skim coats, plasters, renders, EIFS/ETICS mortars, and other dry-mix construction applications.
Product Advantages
Provides excellent water retention in cement- and gypsum-based systems, supporting proper hydration and reducing rapid water loss to the substrate.
Maintains reliable water-retention and rheological performance at elevated temperatures, making it suitable for hot-climate construction conditions.
Provides effective viscosity build-up and improves the consistency and body of dry-mix mortar formulations.
Improves mixing, spreading and troweling properties, helping achieve smoother and easier application.
Helps retain sufficient moisture in the mortar and extends workable and adjustment time during application.
Improves rheological control and helps reduce slipping or sagging when mortar is applied on vertical surfaces.
Controls mortar consistency and flow behavior, providing a suitable balance between application ease and stability.
Provides stable water retention, viscosity and application performance to support consistent quality from batch to batch.
