Practical Guidance

Answers Built Around Your Real Application

The right additive is not selected by one specification alone. Our process begins with your formula, performance targets, current material, and purchasing requirements.

01

Understand the Application

We first identify whether your product is used in tile adhesive, wall putty, gypsum, EIFS/ETICS, dry mix mortar, coatings, or daily chemical applications.

02

Match and Validate

We recommend a comparable grade, discuss a workable price range, and support sample testing before you make a larger purchasing decision.

03

Build Supply Confidence

After successful testing, we support trial orders, batch consistency verification, technical communication, and reliable repeat supply.

Selection & Performance

Choosing the Right Product

Start with the application, then match viscosity, performance, and dosage to your formula.

How do I select the right HPMC, HEMC, or RDP grade for my application?

The best starting point is your actual application rather than a grade name alone. Please tell us what you produce, such as tile adhesive, wall putty, skim coat, gypsum plaster, EIFS/ETICS, self-leveling mortar, cement-based render, paint, or a daily chemical product.

For a more accurate recommendation, we may also ask about your current brand and grade, formula system, dosage, target performance, local raw materials, and any problems you want to improve. We normally begin with a close benchmark to reduce testing risk, then optimize based on your results.

Is viscosity enough to determine the correct cellulose ether grade?

No. Viscosity is an important reference, but it is not the only factor that determines application performance. Products with a similar viscosity can behave differently in water retention, workability, open time, thickening efficiency, slip resistance, air entrainment, and compatibility with cement, gypsum, fillers, and other additives.

For this reason, when a customer asks for a viscosity such as 100,000 or 200,000 mPa·s, we first confirm the end use. This helps us recommend a grade that is suitable for the performance requirements of the complete formulation.

Can Kehao Chemical match or replace an existing international or local brand?

Yes. We can recommend a comparable product based on your current brand, grade, application, dosage, and performance expectations. The goal is not only to compare a basic specification or price, but to verify that the recommended product works reliably in your own formulation.

A typical replacement process includes product benchmarking, sample evaluation, formula adjustment when needed, a trial order, and verification of commercial production performance. This step-by-step approach helps lower switching risk.

What related construction chemical products can you supply besides HPMC, HEMC, and RDP?

In addition to HPMC, HEMC, and redispersible polymer powder, Kehao Chemical can support related construction chemical requirements including HEC, CMC, PP fiber, PVA, HPS, and other additives used in dry mix mortar and building material systems.

Many customers use our core products as a starting point and later consolidate selected complementary materials with us to simplify purchasing, improve supply coordination, and reduce the number of suppliers they manage.

Samples & Validation

From Sample to Trial Order

Testing is designed to help you make a confident, practical purchasing decision.

What is your MOQ for HPMC, HEMC, RDP, and related products?

MOQ depends on the product, grade, packaging requirement, destination, and whether the order is a standard or customized specification. We will provide the applicable MOQ after confirming your product requirement and commercial conditions.

For customers evaluating a new product, we normally recommend beginning with samples and, after successful validation, a practical trial order that allows both sides to verify product performance, packaging, delivery, and production consistency.

Can you provide samples, and who pays the courier cost?

Yes. We can provide samples after confirming the application, required grade, and basic commercial feasibility. Sample policy is based on customer value, project clarity, and the expected business opportunity.

For qualified projects with clear demand and a positive background review, we may support both the sample and international courier cost. For other projects, samples may be provided free of charge while the courier cost is borne by the customer. Please contact us with your company information and application details for confirmation.

How long does product testing usually take?

Testing time depends on the application and your internal quality process. Initial laboratory screening may take only a few days, while cement-based construction material systems often need a longer evaluation cycle. Some performance and aging assessments can take approximately 28 days.

After the sample is delivered, our team follows up to confirm the testing schedule, formula conditions, comparison material, and final feedback. If the first result does not meet expectations, we review the failure point and may recommend an adjusted grade or a second sample for further validation.

Why do you discuss indicative pricing before sending samples?

We believe a successful project needs both technical and commercial fit. Before launching a full testing process, we normally provide a reference price or workable price range based on the selected product and order conditions.

This helps avoid spending weeks on a technical evaluation if the final commercial level would not be acceptable. Final pricing is confirmed according to grade, volume, destination, packing, payment terms, and the overall cooperation plan.

Supply & Technical Service

Reliable Delivery, Documents, and Support

Our support continues after product selection and throughout your supply relationship.

What packaging options are available?

Our standard packaging is selected to protect powder products during handling, storage, and international transportation. Available options may vary by product and order requirement and can include standard export bags, palletized cargo, and other arrangements subject to confirmation.

If you have specific requirements for bag marking, private labeling, pallet configuration, container loading, or local market compliance, please share them during the quotation stage so we can evaluate the most suitable solution.

What is the typical lead time for an order?

Lead time depends on the product grade, ordered quantity, production schedule, packaging requirement, and shipping arrangement. We confirm the expected production and delivery schedule in the formal quotation or order confirmation.

For ongoing customers, we also support supply planning based on historical purchasing rhythm, monthly consumption, available inventory, goods in transit, and shipping time. The objective is to begin the next order discussion before a supply gap becomes urgent.

What documents can you provide for export and quality control?

Depending on the product and destination, we can provide the standard commercial and quality documents required for the order process, such as product specifications, Certificate of Analysis, Safety Data Sheet, packing list, commercial invoice, and shipping-related documentation.

Please provide your destination country, import requirements, and any required document format before order confirmation. Our export team will review the request and confirm the documents that can be arranged for your shipment.

How do you ensure batch consistency between samples and bulk orders?

Batch consistency is a central part of our supply approach. Our manufacturing side is responsible for production, quality control, product development, and technical support, while our export team manages overseas communication and delivery coordination.

For new projects, we encourage a structured process of sample validation, trial order, bulk-use verification, and continued batch performance review. This gives customers the opportunity to confirm that the product is stable not only in a laboratory sample but also in regular production use.

What technical support is available if testing or production performance is not satisfactory?

We do not treat an unsuccessful test as the automatic end of a project. Our team will first identify the specific performance gap and review the relevant conditions, including formula details, dosage, raw materials, application method, comparison product, and expected target.

For standard applications, our sales team can provide initial selection support. For complex formulations, special performance requirements, repeated testing issues, or strategic replacement projects, our technical team can join the discussion to evaluate adjusted grades or a revised recommendation.
